Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Personal Trainer to join our team at True Conditioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and fitness, a commitment to empowering women through exercise and healthy eating habits, and the ability to provide personalized training programs to meet the needs of our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients’ goals, fitness levels, and medical history.
  • Design and implement personalized training programs tailored to clients’ individual needs and goals.
  • Lead individual and group training sessions, including strength training, cardiovascular exercises, flexibility training, and functional movement exercises.
  • Provide ongoing support, motivation, and encouragement to clients throughout their fitness journey.
  • Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, nutrition principles, and healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Monitor clients’ progress, track fitness goals, and adjust training programs as needed to ensure continued progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training environment, including equipment setup and sanitation protocols.
  • Stay current with industry trends, research, and best practices in exercise science and nutrition.

Required skill set and qualifications:

  • Certified Personal Trainer credential from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred.
  • TRX Training certification or equivalent functional training certification.
  • Previous experience working as a personal trainer or fitness instructor preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and at least one weekend day.
  • Passion for health and fitness, with a genuine desire to help others achieve their fitness goals.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and supportive training environment for all clients.
  • CPR/AED certification required.

Richmond’s Premier TRX Group Fitness and Personal Training Studio, True Conditioning, is looking for an energetic, knowledgeable and passionate Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor to join their team.

Based in Steveston, BC and voted Richmond’s Best Place to Workout two years in a row, True Conditioning is a leader in TRX Suspension Training. We specialise in providing high energy group fitness classes which are adaptable for all levels, along with individualised personal training and nutrition coaching.

Inclusive to men and women of all ages and fitness levels, at True Conditioning we pride ourselves on our supportive, community environment. We strongly believe a workout can
change your body and mind and that sweat and happiness go hand in hand.

Required skill set and qualifications:

  • You have a personal training certification and/or group training certification (ACE, ANSM or equivalent)
  • First Aid certification (AED Cert is also a bonus)
  • You have an interest in growing your personal training clientele
  • You are able to pick up a minimum of 2 group fitness classes a week
  • You want to learn the unique True Conditioning method and develop your creative freedom through movement as a trainer
  • You know that True Conditioning is not your typical studio, and you are excited to be yourself, encourage and share the joy of movement and health with others

Bonus:

  • Nutrition certification – Precision Nutrition Preferred
  • You live in Richmond
  • Have your TRX Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification, or are interested in taking one to enhance your skills.

About True Physio and Pilates

We are the first and only Physiotherapy clinic in Richmond to offer Reformer Based Clinical Pilates. All of our appointments are one-to-one allowing adequate time for your therapist to provide you with a comprehensive assessment and treatment. We don’t use machines – we achieve results through a hands on approach of manual therapy, exercise and needling where appropriate. We will never leave you alone during an appointment, the entire appointment duration is yours. We know your time and money is valuable. We do not over treat. What we are looking for

More than just a gym, at True Conditioning we pride ourselves on our supportive, community environment and strongly believe that a workout can not only change your body but your mind. In an effort to help promote our philosophy, connect with and reach a greater audience we are looking for an experienced Social Media coordinator to join our team. This role would be responsible to help coordinate, plan, and schedule and create content to help grow our presence online and and build our client base in the studio.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working closely with a manager to make timely and relevant posts
  • Attending classes and personal training sessions to take photographs and post updates to all True Conditioning social channels
  • Writing, editing, laying out, and posting content to True Conditioning social media channels
  • Curating pictures and workout videos for use in future marketing
  • Brainstorming on new and engaging content to help grow our brand and client base in person and online
  • Shooting mobile video and post engaging video content to social channels
  • Staying plugged into True Conditioning social conversation, keeping a finger on the pulse of what True Conditioning members are talking about
  • Assisting with 1-1 engagement and responses on various social channels
  • Working with the Manager on social strategy
  • Regularly reporting to measure against objectives

Required skill set and qualifications:

  • A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma such as Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • A love for fitness and health
  • Experience and passion for creating video content
  • At least two years of social media related work experience
  • Strong writing and editing skills, as well as strong mobile photo and video skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the True Conditioning brand
  • Creative thinking abilities with quick wit and ability to read and react to situations

What we are looking for

As the Fitness Studio Manager at True Conditioning, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our fitness studio. Your role will involve creating a positive and motivating environment for both clients and staff, ensuring smooth operations, and driving the growth and success of the studio. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual with a passion for fitness and exceptional leadership skills to join our team.

 

Responsibilities

Studio Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness studio, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
  • Manage studio schedules, including class timetables, instructor assignments, and client bookings.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of fitness instructors and support staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to the team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain clients, ensuring a high level of client engagement and loyalty.

Fitness Program Development:

  • Collaborate with fitness instructors to develop and enhance fitness programs that align with client needs and market trends.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality fitness classes and training sessions, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fitness programs, making adjustments as necessary to optimize results.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the studio and increase client acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, manage social media presence, and engage with the target audience.
  • Identify business development opportunities, such as partnerships, corporate programs, and community events, to expand the studio’s reach.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the studio budget, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators, implementing strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM) and TRX Suspension Training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in fitness studio management or a related leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of fitness industry trends, programs, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact with clients and staff.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Proficiency in using fitness studio management software and tools.
  • Basic understanding of financial management principles.
  • Passion for fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
