Rather than stressing over hitting a big milestone at a time, try to reset your thinking, and simply strive to be a little bit better every day.
How exactly are you planning to shave off 10 minutes from your total lap time? Think of it as a 10, or even 20 day process where you aim to reduce your time by a minute or 30 seconds each day. Suddenly, the “big” milestone just became a lot less daunting. This progressive mindset isn’t just limited to fitness alone – it can be applied to just about every situation we encounter in our daily lives!
